First stop was the Seoul Museum of History, which had free admission (because it was Independence Day). The amount of English explanations was limited to identifying the object but I fortunately went with 유림언니 so i had my own private tour guide with me. There is a neat scale model of Seoul during the palaces heyday.
Then we trekked over to 경희궁. There was a free traditional drum dance and Taekwondo demo. I just kept thinking how out they must be...
The palace is also housing the "Prada Transformer". (http//www.pradatransformer.co.kr) The current exhibit is a video installation by Swedish artist, Nathalie Djurberg. It was not my cup of tea... but its free so no harm no foul.
