Olympic Park Stadium which is ~1.5 hour subway ride (with 1 transfer). Yeah its far and those made coming back home slightly troublesome...
Outside, there were all these tents setup sponsored by HyundaiCard (a sponsor). One tent had complimentary coffee and walnut cakes (yea free food!). There was also a limo on display (i think the novelty of a limo still exists here... i don't think i've seen one on the road since i've been here)
Concert culture is kinda different.
- EVERYONE was waving a glowstick.
- concert goers age varied from middle school kids - adults in their 50's (maybe a parent maybe not...)
- attire... I understand some people get out of work late but do you really have to wear your SUIT to a concert???? Couldn't you have changed to street clothes before you got there?
- Girls... I saw LOTS wearing heels & skirts like they were going on a date. I hope their tickets weren't on the floor for their feet sake.
- Didn't encounter any form of security to check the contents of my bag.
The concert started PROMPTLY at 8pm (pleasantly surprised) and their set lasted straight through till 22:30! There wasn't any break whatsoever. The set included songs from their latest album, 21st Century Breakdown, American Idiot and Dookie. Somewhere in the middle was also a string of covers.
We had to cut out early during Jesus of Surburbia to catch the last subway to 인천 (Incheon). Bomi and I RAN the entire way. Luckily we just made it. Then when we transferred at 종각 and it felt like we ran for a mile... Seriously, with all the jumping around at the concert and running to catch the train its fulfilled my exercise for the day. :D
