Bad customer service doesn't seem to exist. Whether it is at a small mom & pop mart or at the big chain Lotte Mart all the employees always speak to you very courteously. However, something that you have to get used to is when you enter certain stores a store employee will latch themselves to you like the plague. This is all part of the customer service policy that is almost like a personal shopper. How far away they stand will vary, some may invade your personal bubble some may not. You can politely tell them you don't need their assistance but I just let them do their thing. This way you don't have to search for a sales person when you have a question. However, the first time this happened to me in the Lotte Department Store (롯데백화점) in the Columbia section I thought they were following me because they thought that I was going to shoplift. (Considering how underdressed I was for the store.) The Lotte Dept Store is a sight in itself... Everything is high end... The vibe of the store is like Neiman Marcus. Everyone is dressed up to go shopping.

This particular one is located at the Arts Center Stop on the Incheon Line. No need to go outside there is a entrance that is connected to the subway concourse by exit 6.
There's another one that is within walking distance of my apt. The parking situation was ridiculous too many cars and not enough spaces.

I would think the same thing; that they're watching me so I don't shoplift. What do Korean people wear?
I think pictures would be better than me verbally explaining. However, I'll say that Uggs, and fur trim are the big trends.
Here are good examples of Korean Street Fashion...
