Part of the end of school year festivities includes a retirement dinner (we only had 1 teacher retiring this year). Our school held it a hotel-buffet style. The program included lots of speeches and a singing performance of all the (female) teachers (including yours truly). To my dismay I somehow stood in the front... but it was fun to be able to sing in a chorus. The AV teacher put together a really nice video montage for the teacher as well that showed all the different school she taught at and each of her current 3rd grader's said a farewell message (too cute). Food wise ... it was ok. The only thing i remember are the miniature 고구마 delish!
It was slightly annoying that the principal's cell kept ringing through out the program. It didn't even occur to him to put it on vibrate...
