Signed up for Korean Class at Talkhouse (Chinese/Japanese/English is also offered). The first class went well. Everyone in the class is from a different country (China, Syria, England, and Canada). The vocabulary was a bit easy but I need to really work on my writing skills so it'll be ok. Spent the rest of hanging out with the 2 other native teachers. It was sooooooooooooooooooo nice to finally have a full conversation in English!!!
We made a pitstop at Kyobo bookstore and this happens...
The 4 of us were all chatting around the English section about this book and that. A dad with a young daughter approaches me and asks me to read a sentence (that was in English) from a book to his daughter.... (the right side was Korean and the left side was written in English) (The book was not a kids book either it was about politics...) Wait it gets weirder... HE TOOK A PICTURE to boot. I've become a tourist attraction...^^;;; It was weird but didn't really care too much.
Actually when we were finished with dinner at 쪼끼쪼끼, an ajussi (아저씨) said to me "Its so nice that you are a tour guide..." (I was the only Asian in the group .) Which is funny because I have been here the shortest of everyone so know the least about where is what....
